Experience:
Regarding litigation, Sandra Albuquerque
Dino has more than 20 years of experience
on preventive advising and litigation
of large companies, such as General Motors
Group and the Brazilian Institute of Reinsurance
– IRB, being active on negotiations
and managing complex litigation matters.
From 2004 to 2006, she served the Presidency
of the Superior Law Court – STJ,
Brazilian highest civil court, resuming
her layering practice in Brasília
thereafter.
At the administrative law area, Sandra
Albuquerque Dino represents many municipal
and state governments on tax issues concerning
the Court of Auditors, including review
of bidding proceedings and contracts on
a large scale. Sandra Albuquerque Dino
also has a large experience counseling
national and international corporate clients
on labor matters. She has substantial
experience in collective bargaining with
unions and in drafting agreements and
collective conventions for corporate employers.
Sandra Albuquerque Dino also founded the
Support Centre of Small Business of Maranhão,
the biggest active Oscip (NGO) in the
country, where she served as President
for 13 years. In addition, she served
as Counselor of the Brazilian Bar Association
of Maranhão (twice); as Tax Counselor
of the Maranhão State; as Director
First-Secretary of the Commercial Association
of Maranhão; as Director of the
Credit Protection Services of São
Luiz’s Managing Wholesalers Chamber
– SPC, where she also served as
President; and as Counselor of SEBRAE
Maranhão.
