Experience:
Ivo Gico Jr. is the partner responsible
for Dino, Siqueira & Gico
Advogados regulatory and antitrust
practice. He has represented clients active
in (i) anticompetitive practices investigations,
dawn-raids, leniency agreements, antitrust
compliance reviews; as well as (ii) in
complex merger notifications to the Brazilian
Antitrust Authorities. Ivo Gico Jr. has
relevant experience with notifications
involving Telecommunications, Oil &
Gas, air transportation, mining and steel
companies.
Ivo Gico Jr. also has a large experience
on regulatory litigation and proceedings
before Federal Agencies such as Anatel
and Anvisa, to national and foreign companies,
who he assisted in strategy planning and
for whom he managed complex administrative
matters.
Regarding trade law, Ivo Gico Jr. represented
clients in antidumping investigation proceedings
in sectors such as pharmaceutical, Oil
& Gas, textiles and others. In 2005,
he joined the Brazilian Mission before
the WTO Internship Program, where he served
at the Services Regulation and Dumping
departments in Geneva, Switzerland.
Ivo Gico Jr. was also involved in many
business negotiations involving national
and foreign companies, where he actively
conducted and drafted many agreements
involving complex deals.
Ivo Gico Jr. is
currently an associated professor at the
Catholic University of Brasília
and the Public Law Institute of Brasília
Master of Law Programs. He authored
the only Brazilian treatise about collusion
“Cartel – Teoria Unificada
da Colusão” (Lex, 2007)”,
edited the book “Intervenção
do Estado no Domínio Econômico
– Temas Atuais” (Lex,
2006), and has published papers actively
in many areas.
